WORLD PRIDE 2032 BID
FROM PRIDE IN LONDON…
TO A WORLDPRIDE BID SHAPED BY COMMUNITY…
STARTING NOW!
In 1972, the Gay Liberation Front marched through London for the first time and changed what Pride could be.
In 2032, it will be 60 years since that march.
London is officially bidding to host WorldPride 2032! and the first major public campaign for the bid starts with the people Pride has always belonged to; our communities.
This bid is led by Pride in London, Outernet, and UK Black Pride, standing together with the Mayor of London, Tripadvisor, The Independent and The Standard.
But a bid this ambitious isn't something a committee can build alone, it has to be built by all of us.
So instead of designing our bid identity internally we're opening it to the community.
We're inviting the global community to help create the official symbol of WorldPride London 2032, starting with your art, and your photos.
Because if this bid is going to represent global Pride, it should be made by Prides globally.
Keep reading to find out how you can be a part of it.

FROM THE COMMITTEE.
"Pride has always been powered by community. As we launch London's bid for WorldPride 2032, we want our community to help shape its future from day one. We're looking for bold, inspiring designs that capture London's unique spirit and photographs that celebrate Pride in all its forms across the world. As we approach the 60th anniversary of London's first Pride march, this project gives every generation an opportunity to leave their mark on what could become one of the defining moments in our movement's history."
Rebecca Paisis, CEO Pride in London
"Rather than designing a logo behind closed doors, we're inviting LGBTQIA+ creatives to help shape what could become the symbol of WorldPride 2032. This is about creating something that reflects the richness, diversity and creativity of our global community. If London is successful, millions of people will engage with this logo over the course of WorldPride, including experiencing the immersive story of the campaign on Outernet’s world-famous screens. Every photograph submitted and every creative contribution will become part of that shared story, celebrating not only where we've come from but where we're going together."
Phillip O’Ferrall, CEO
Outernet London
“I am incredibly proud and deeply honoured to serve as Co-Chair of London’s WorldPride 2032 bid. At a time when LGBTQIA+ communities across the world are facing increasing hostility, this bid is an opportunity for London to lead with courage, purpose and global solidarity.
WorldPride must never be just about spectacle. It must be about people, justice, belonging and creating lasting change. Sixty years after London’s first Pride march, we have a responsibility to honour those who came before us while building a future that is more representative, accessible and intersectional.
This creative campaign places our communities at the heart of the bid from the very beginning. It invites people across the world not simply to witness WorldPride, but to help shape its identity and its legacy. I am proud to bring the voice, values and experience of UK Black Pride into this work and to help ensure that those who are too often pushed to the margins are visible, valued and part of the decisions we make.”
Lady Phyll, Co-Founder
UK Black Pride
“We are hugely proud to support our capital’s bid to host World Pride 2032 and mark the 60th anniversary of the very first Pride march in London. So much has changed for the better since that important day, but shockingly we continue to see efforts across the world to take away hard-won rights and freedoms. By putting LGBTQIA+ communities at the heart of this bid, we will help show why our capital remains a beacon of inclusivity and diversity around the globe, as we build a better and fairer London for everyone.”
Tom Copley, Deputy Mayor for Housing and Residential Development
OUR SUPPORTING PARTNERS.
Tripadvisor, Official Travel Partner of the London WorldPride 2032 Bid, has already pledged £1 million of in-kind global marketing support should London be awarded WorldPride, helping promote the event to international visitors and positioning London as a destination celebrating LGBTQIA+ inclusion.
"Travel has the power to bring people together through shared experiences and understanding. We're proud to support London's WorldPride 2032 bid and to help showcase the city to millions of visitors around the world should the bid be successful."
Justin Reid, Senior Director of Media, Destinations, Hotels and Growth at Tripadvisor
The Independent and The Standard are Official News Media Partners of the bid, and together with editorial, content, social and commercial initiatives, will contribute photography from decades of Pride coverage to help tell the story of London's LGBTQIA+ journey as part of the final artwork - creating a tangible bridge between Pride's past and its future.
"The Independent and The Standard have proudly documented London's Pride movement for decades. As steadfast campaigners for LGBTQIA+ communities, we are delighted that images from our archives will help tell this remarkable story, preserving the history of Pride while contributing to its future."
Beth Gordon, Director, Brand Marketing and Communications at Independent Media
